Event Rules/Guidelines

- You must be a Mothcats member to participate. (By being a member, you automatically agree to our Species Terms and Conditions.)
- You must have an updated Mothcat Bank to participate in this event. See this journal for info on how to get one.
- You do not need to own a Mothcat to participate.
- Both admins and members can participate.
- All prompt entries must be clearly labeled in the title and description.

Event Summary
Ronan's travelled a very far way from the North just to bring his metalworking wares to Morel Hollow. However, he's going to need some help before he can get things really going, and that's where you come in. This event will go from January 15th - February 25th. There will be 3 prompts, running for 2 weeks each. Completing a prompt will earn you a prize specific to that quest. Each entry will also give you one ticket towards earning a secret prize, to be revealed at a later date. There is a maximum of three entries per prompt, but completing just one entry per prompt will qualify you for the prizes. In addition, those who complete all of the prompts will be eligible for a bonus prize.
Every member and Mothcat/subspecies is eligible for this event. If you do not own a Mothcat/subspecies, you are welcome to use Honey or Chive for your entries (or a friend's if you have their permission first). You may draw, write, or craft to fulfill each prompt. Your prompts should be submitted to the [2017 Northern Mettle] event folder. In addition, there will be a featured comment linked to each prompt. Please reply to the comment corresponding to the prompt you're fulfilling. Due to the nature of the prizes for this event, collabs are not accepted.

"Hello there! Name's Ronan. First things first, I need to get myself a leg. I have some ideas in mind, but let's hear what you've got."
Help Ronan design his prosthetic leg! You can depict your character(s) drawing blueprints, talking out ideas with Ronan, doing research about designs, etc. -- be creative!

With a solid plan in mind, Ronan's going to need some materials to help build that leg of his. In addition, Farina's going to be selling some of Ronan's wares once he gets himself settled, but he's going to need tools to build his crafts. Depict your character(s) foraging for materials, bringing Ronan tools, or otherwise assisting in helping Ronan set up shop.

"Looks like we've got some company. I'm just about done with this here leggy, can you go lend them a hand?"
Each of these cats has a specific disability they're dealing with, and would like your assistance:
You are free to depict your character(s) helping these cats in any way you want, as long as it is clear they are genuinely trying to provide assistance. Some examples might be crafting a walking stick, helping decorate a prosthetic leg, or finding a companion for one of these cats. Please note that Mothcats does not tolerate the mocking of or discrimination against individuals with disabilities.
If your character(s) are directly interacting with one of the cats and trying to aid their specific situation, then it satisfies the prompt. In addition, you do not need to submit a prompt for the cat you'd like to enter the raffle for. Each entry goes towards a general raffle, where the winner will then pick their desired cat.

What's this? It seems that some other cats who also weren't faring well in the north have heard about the generosity and hard work going on at Morel Hollow, and have come seeking help. Better than that, they're here to stay! At the end of this prompt, one of these cats will be raffled away. If you have entered in either of the previous prompts, each entry counts for one raffle ticket. Completing this prompt also counts towards your ticket total. If you are the winner, you will get first choice of any of the following four cats. The remaining three cats will be auctioned off shortly after.
